Track the Status of My Refund

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is working hard to get you your federal tax refund in a timely manner. Delays are to be expected due to the economic relief distribution, especially if you mailed a paper return or needed to make corrections to your return. Unless your tax return requires additional review, refunds are processed in less than 21 days. Before contacting the IRS, it is important to know that:

  • You will not receive your refund if it hasn’t been 21 days or more since you e-filed
  • Check “Where’s My Refund” to get more information on when to expect your refund
  • Do not file a second tax return.
