Tracking a Tax Refund is Easy

Taxpayers are encouraged to do the following to make tracking their tax refunds easier:

• Checking their individual IRS online account;
• Using ‘Where’s My Refund’; and
• Downloading the IRS2Go app.

If a taxpayer claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC), they can expect to get their refund by March 3 if:

• They file their return online.
• They choose to get their refund by direct deposit.
• The IRS found no issues with the return.
